Case One: Late one Saturday night in January, 1980, a
Brazilian electronics businessman and nine other people saw a disc-shaped
object shine a light down on the water near the eastern shore of the Tapajos
river in the Amazon. The man, his family and some relatives, were camping at
a beach thirty miles south of Santarem, and appeared around eleven o'clock.
Several
teenagers were still awake, lying in hammocks and talking, when they saw the
UFO come toward them from across the river. It stopped about thirty yards
from the beach and shined a light down on the water twenty yards below. The
kids awakened the others. The UFO hovered briefly and then began moving
north, or to the campers right, parallel to the shore. It traveled more than
half a mile, with the spotlight still shining straight down, before it
disappeared.
The curious thing about all this was
that as the beam of light moved along the river, it left behind a trail of
luminescence on the surface for several hundred yards. The trail gradually
faded out, south to north, at about the same speed as the light itself had
moved.

One of the most dramatic cases in the
USO files occurred on the night of 26th July 1980.
The
tugboat 'Caioba-Seahorse' was on a routine journey 60 miles (95 kilometres)
from the Brazilian coast, when the first mate suddenly became aware
of a grey object 30ft (10 metres) in diameter floating on the surface
straight ahead.
At
the same time a bright light could be seen over the sea rapidly approaching
them. The first mate quickly changed direction to avoid a collision with the
floating object, which then displayed various coloured lights -- yellow, red,
green, and blue.
The bright light had now
reached them and could be seen as a glowing oval craft hovering silently
above the floating USO. The tugboats engines had stopped and the crew watched
with fear and fascination as the UFO slowly
descended onto the floating USO. A
link-up took place, the USO lights went out, and the two bodies (now joined)
rose up together. After hovering for some minutes in the area the UFO with
its 'load' swept rapidly out to sea. This event naturally prompted a
high-level investigation by naval authorities, and much speculation from
Brazil's civilian urologists.
DID THE
TUGBOAT CREW WITNESS A RESCUE OPERATION OF ONE UFO BY ANOTHER? OR WAS IT
MERELY A ROUTINE PICK UP AT A PRE-ARRANGED LOCALITY?
No firm conclusions were reached, but
whatever the authorities found out, they kept it to themselves.

(Extract – “Close encounter in UFO alley” by Jenny Randles. See reference
below).
…I had no idea at the
time that we were in the midst of a major wave centering on Rossendale.
We figured this out only when we had enough data to see what was going
on. In fact, a week after the above incident, on August 14-15, 1980,
there was another reservoir encounter at Helmshore (five miles southwest).
This certainly [ was not ]1 a mirage. Two night fishermen
saw a circle of red lights reflected on Ogden Reservoir. Looking up
to see what was causing the effect, they were shocked to find nothing
was there. But looking back at the water, they could see that something
was beneath the water and rising to the surface.
They fled in terror, leaving their expensive fishing gear to the mercy
of any passing thief and refusing to return until daylight. An independent
witness in nearby Haslingden saw a rotating ring of red lights crossing
the sky and flooding her bedroom with light that same night.”

“Close encounter in UFO alley” by Jenny Randles.
Original: The Pennine UFO mystery’ by Jenny Randles, Granada Books
1983.
Additional information forwarded to me via e-mail by Ms. Randles, in
reply to my question as to whether this was a valid report, she responded:
Yes, it ‘is’ a valid report.
I went to the site and spoke with the witnesses myself and a photo of
the reservoir is in my book ‘The Pennine UFO mystery’ (Granada Books
1983). I have no doubt these witnesses reported what they saw.
The location was Ogden
Reservoir, Helmshore and the sighting began just after 9 pm. It was
a miserable night - raining hard (good fishing weather apparently).
There were about a dozen lights in the circle and it was about 10 yards
off shore. They looked up - saw nothing causing a reflection - looked
back and watched the circle for about 30 seconds. It did not move. There
are no pylons or houses to cause this effect. The area is fairly isolated.
Then the ring just disappeared. They shrugged - puzzled - and continued
fishing but several minutes later the lights appeared again - rising
and pulsating. This apparent attempt to move out of the water (which
they never saw happen BTW) was too much. That’s when they dropped their
gear and fled back to the car - only returning about 10 hours later
to collect it in daylight.
The other witness - a woman of 75 - saw an identical circle (not pulsating)
but bright enough to illuminate her window and wake her up. She reported
this at about 2 am (over 4 hours after the men fled) but under a mile
from where they were located.
These witnesses were completely unrelated.
During neither sighting was there any sound.
At the time I did some checking and found a number of similar cases
on file - both involving fishermen and others seeing the same circle
of lights effect.
Two other witnesses at Stacksteads (between Helmshore and Heald Moor
in the Rossendale Valley) had a spectacular close up view of the circle
of lights and saw it attached to a large bell shape. This landed in
a quarry at 2 am on 24 February 1979. The witness had my number (I was
born in this small village - although I had not met this man before
that night). He called me as he was watching the UFO!
My thanks to Ms. Randles for permission to post this article and
for a follow up e-mail to clarify a typo by IUR 1, and additional
information not included in the necessarily brief treatment of the case
in the larger article.

Strange objects were seen
descending into the sea off Japan in both 1956 and 1957, and a more recent
sighting of a USO took place in 1980. On that occasion, actually on 18 August
1980, the captain of a Russian research vessel in the Sea of Japan saw a
metallic-looking cylindrical object rise slowly from the sea and hover
nearby before shooting away.

PRESS REPORTS
By Joe and Doris Graziano
BRAZIL,
November (?), 1980-Macapa...Seventy or more people, awaiting the
re-establishment of ferry service across the Aragari River, watched a strange
object rise up from the river, hover at 5 to 6 meters above it and 100 meters
from the river bank, rise slowly to a height of 200 meters and stop there for
4 minutes. It then turned left and proceeded at a moderate speed towards the
ocean.
Witnesses said the object appeared
solid, about 5 meters in diameter, was
shaped like a cloud and showed no sign of luminosity.
On the opposite bank of the river at Amapa,
Francisco Silveira said the object came within 30 meters of him. It stayed
there for a long while "as if it was watching me."
On the preceding day in Amapa, a car
with 3 passengers was followed by a plate-shaped object with its borders
lit up. It then-stopped still above a sports module facing a local hotel.

Subject: Re: Your Lake sighting
In
December of 1980, I awoke and noticed light in the bedroom from something
outside our home. I got up and looked out the rear bedroom window onto our
lake. A saucer shaped craft appeared to be surfacing on the lake about 100
feet from my window. !t reminded me of a submarine surfacing, at least water
seemed to be falling off its surface. The craft was bathed in a blue
ionization of light that looked similar to the Aurora Borealis. I thought to
myself, that's where these craft hide under the water! It was moving slowly
towards our dock. After a short time the craft departed almost in an instant.
Within a
few weeks the lake was frozen over and I took several strings of Christmas
lights and put them on the ice in the same spot to determine the approximate
size of the craft. The craft measured 25 feet in diameter and was about 7
feet thick. It appeared as a fairly typical! saucer with no apparent port
holes or entry points. It seemed to be made of very smooth metallic material
similar to polished pewter. It made no sound, however there was the feeling
it was very powerful and awe-inspiring.

Sixteen
years later, a short distance to the south, and just over the Spanish border
at Isla Cristina in the province of Huelva, two boys saw a light emerge from
the sea about 1000 feet offshore. It was the night of 8 February 1981, and
their attention was first caught by a light rising up from the depths. "This
light was getting brighter and brighter, which made us think of a submarine
but suddenly it came out of the water and stayed still at a height of about
500 metres (1600 feet), disappearing without a trace soon after."

Crews of seagoing craft also encounter UFOs. Sometimes
they hover for long periods, as one did over the Taki Kyoto Maru, a
freighter sailing off the east coast of Japan, less than 200 miles from
Kanazawa, on April 17, 1981.
Captain Usuda, when interviewed by the press at Kanazawa,
reported that a UFO, of a round saucer shape and shining brightly, rose out
of the sea in clear daylight and calm weather and first hovered near and then
circled the 165-foot freighter. Captain Usuda described it as glowing with a
blue light and stated that when it shot out of the ocean it caused a wave
that almost swamped his ship. It caused another great wave, which partially
damaged his ship, when it disappeared into the sea.
Captain Usuda, although preoccupied at the time with his
terrified crew and his own concern for the ship's safety, noted that the time
spent by the alternately hovering and circling UFO was about fifteen minutes.
The UFO moved so fast around the ship that, except when it hovered, it could
not be seen clearly -- there was only a blur where it circled. Captain Usuda
tried to radio for help but the transmitting equipment was jammed. He looked
at the needles on the ship's instruments and they too were a blur, spinning
with the same rapidity as the craft circling over the ship. He tried to guess
the size of the UFO when it hovered and estimated that its metallic and
glowing diameter was four or five times the length of his ship.
A curious result of the visitation was that it seemed to
have affected time on board the Taki Kyoto Maru. After the UFO plunged
back into the sea, the captain noted that the timepieces on board had lost
fifteen minutes, the approximate time that the spacecraft (if that is what it
was) had spent maneuvering around the ship.
A spokesman for the Japanese coast guard, Hoshi Isido, is
reported to have observed, with some understatement: "Based on
interviews … and the unusual structural damage … we do suspect that they
encountered something very unusual .... Officially we are calling it an unidentified
object, a simple UFO."

A Submarine UFO
Reports of UFOs arising from a body of water are rare. It
is particularly significant that the following case was reported directly to
me by the lone witness, who happens to be an acquaintance of many years. He
wishes to remain anonymous for the usual obvious reasons but my full taping
of his long distance call from Kamloops, British Columbia, leaves no doubt to
a listener that he was genuinely bewildered by his experience on Thompson
River. Fortunately, we have in Kewlona, B.C., relatively close to Kamloops,
an investigator of long standing and experience, Mr. W.K. Allan. He has
kindly agreed to investigate and evaluate this case as far as is possible.
This case will be followed up in the next issue of Frontiers of Science.

DATE:
May 16, 1981
TIME:
2:30 p.m. PDST
DURATION: 1-3 minutes (?)
WITNESSES: 1
PLACE:
Kamloops, British Columbia (Thompson River)
The
witness is fishing on a bright, sunny afternoon in May. There are other
people on the water at some distance. A small boat has just passed by when a
noise "like water being poured into a hot frying pan" is heard. The
water in front of the fisherman, about 100 to 150 yards away, suddenly
bubbles. Out of the water rises a fifteen-to twenty-foot "typical"
flying saucer. Slowly at first, it accelerates as it approaches the witness
at a forty-five degree angle, passes directly over him, and then accelerates
upward and, "zoom, it is gone."
The
witness described the UFO as identical with a disc shown in my book The
UFO Experience (the single disc high above the trees in the photograph
section).
The witness was still in a shocked state when he
heard a rain of pellets spattering down, obstensibly from the UFO.
Fortunately, he collected a fair amount of the material, which was sent to
the Center.
The
witness is puzzled as to why this incident was not seen and reported by
others, since it occurred in the vicinity of a good sized Canadian city.
Shortly after the incident, he spoke to a hitchhiker along the highway which
runs close to the river. The hitchhiker "did not want to get
involved."
The
absence of corroborating reports is disturbing. Did no one else see this
truly unusual event? Or are there reluctant witnesses here, part of the army
of the "bewildered silent"? This must be the answer unless we
invoke the handy hallucination explanation. However, a hallucination that rains
down material from itself might be considered a bit unusual !
The
material in this section has been prepared by Dr. J. Allen Hynek, Director of
the Center for UFO Studies, an international association of scientists and
others seriously interested in the UFO phenomenon. Through the cooperation of
the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and its network of investigators, and of other
UFO investigative groups both in the United States and abroad, and through
the work of its own investigators, the Center offers the following as its
contribution to the responsible reporting of the worldwide UFO phenomenon.

UFO Rises Out of River
It's
possible that the fireball and the disc-shaped objects are one and the same
thing. In my one venture into the Amazon, in July, 1981, I met Noemi
Rodrigues, twenty-eight, who had seen a UFO in both forms. A tall,
dark-haired woman, she taught first and second-grade pupils in Santarem. She
had seen a UFO on two occasions, both just several weeks before I talked to
her.
Her first sighting was on June 20 and
the second on July 1. Both occurred when she was a passenger on an overnight
boat from Alenquer to Santarem, a trip of about eight hours.
"The first time was about two o'clock in the morning," Noemi
said. "Everybody else was sleeping in hammocks on the deck but I
couldn't sleep because the rocking of the boat bothered me. I was standing at
the back of the boat when I noticed a big ball of light about a thousand
meters behind the boat, zigzagging from one side of the river to the other.
It didn't come close to the boat. Then it disappeared. I didn't say anything
about it to anybody. I asked the pilot if another boat was behind us but he
said there wasn't.
"The second time, I saw the UFO
come out of the river. I was standing by myself at the back of the boat
again, between midnight and one o'clock. When the saucer left the water, it
was not very bright, so I could see the shape. I could see water dripping off
it, draining, and it was disc or saucer-shaped, like a plate.
"It was about a thousand meters
behind the boat and it rose up maybe six meters. It was big, maybe a meter
and a half wide or more. Then it got very bright and looked like a ball of
fire. It began zigzagging back and forth like the other one did. It was going
so fast it made me sick. I was very frightened, too frightened to say
anything to anyone. Then it disappeared. It dimmed out to nothing."
Thus, the dull-red disc-shaped object flared into a brilliant light
that looked like a ball of fire. Is it possible that the ball of fire that
most people see conceals within its fiery aura a disc-shaped craft? Maybe.

OBLONG UFO LANDS ON WATER
By
John F. Schuessler
Carl E. Moore, 14-years-old, was
fishing with friends near Newberry, South Carolina, when he saw a large
cigar-shaped UFO land on the water The sighting took place around 10:30 p.m.
on July 15, 1981. The weather was excellent, with a clear sky and a
temperature of 75 degrees.
Carl and his friends had been fishing
that day, but with very little luck. They had only a few fish to show for
their efforts and were on their cots for a rest. Carl decided to go down to
the boat ramp and check his trout lines; so he was alone when he observed the
UFO.
UFO hovered over water
The UFO was a
30-foot-long glowing silver-white cigar-shaped thing. It was flying very
slowly over the water, perhaps 20-25 m.p.h. He said it slowly settled on the
surface of the water causing steam to rise around it. After about 3 minutes
it rose slightly and hovered about one foot above the surface. Suddenly, it
shot skyward, rising vertically until it was out of sight Carl described the
speed as "faaast!," claiming the UFO went from the hovering
position to more than 250 m.p.h. in an instant .
The UFO was larger than a
standard-sized automobile, without windows or doors. It was covered with
small whitish-blue lights. These fights kept flickering back and forth as
long as the object was in sight. When the UFO landed on the surface of the
water it was less than 50 feet from Carl.
Carl described his feelings during
the sighting as "quite disturbed," but he was able to "keep
his cool" and observe the whole event. Because his friends were asleep
on their cots he felt that no one would believe his experience but when he
heard about Project VISIT in Friendswood, Texas, he felt compelled to make
a report.

In October 1983 we were swamped by sightings of mysterious
green lights darting above the forest. These eerie glows were so common that
the locals treated them as part of the environment. Some blamed Bawdsey.
Typical was the sighting of three fishermen by the coast at Sizewell, a small
village just north of Orford Ness and close by where Gordon Levett first
encountered the UFO in 1980 (an object he saw glowing with a faint green
phosphorescence, as you may recall). The three fishermen observed a large
ball formed out of greenish and yellowish masses that appeared in the sky
above them on the evening of 7 October. It then grew very bright and faded
away. One of these men had a second encounter at 05.30 on 15 October when a
green blob of light appeared in the sky and fell slowly towards the
surface of the sea--plunging into the waves and disappearing beneath the
surface, still glowing.
Such observations continued into November 1983, when the
crew of a fishing boat reported encountering an almost identical "green
fireball" off the coast by Felixstowe. It behaved entirely unlike a
meteorite.

The
testimony of Alexander G. Globa, a seaman from GORI, a Soviet tanker, was
published in Zagadki Sfinksa magazine (Issue # 3, 1992) Odessa, In June 1984,
GORI was in the Mediterranean, twenty nautical miles from the Straight of
Gibraltar. At 16:00, Globa was on duty. With him was Second-in-Command S.
Bolotov. They were standing watch at the left bridge extension wing when both
men observed a strange polychromatic object. When the object was astern, it
stopped suddenly. S. Bolotov was agog, shaking his binoculars and shouting: "It
is a flying saucer, a real saucer, my God, hurry, hurry, look!" Globa
looked through his own binoculars and saw, at a distance over the stern, a
flattened out looking object (it did remind him of an upside-down frying
pan). The UFO was gleaming with a grayish metallic shine. The lower portion
of the craft had a precise round shape, its diameter no more than twenty
meters. Around the lower portion of it Globa also observed "waves"
of protuberances on the outside plating.
The
base of the object's body consisted of two semi-discs, the smaller being on
top; they slowly revolved in opposing directions. At the circumference of the
lower disc Globa saw numerous shining, bright bead-like lights. The seaman's
attention was centered on the bottom portion of the UFO. It looked as if it
was completely even and smooth, its color that of a yolk, and in the middle
of it Globa discerned around, nucleus-like stain. At the edge of the UFO's
bottom, which was easily visible, was something that looked like a pipe. It
glowed with an unnaturally bright rosy color, like a neon lamp. The top of
the middle disc was crowned by a triangular-shaped something. It Seemed that
it moved in the same direction as the lower disc, but at a much slower pace.
Suddenly
the UFO jumped up several times, as if moved by an invisible wave. Many
lights illuminated its bottom portion. The crew of GORI tried to attract the
object's attention using a signal projector. By that time Captain Sokolovky
was on the deck with his men. He and his Second-in-Command were watching the
object intensely. However, the UFO's attention was distracted by another
ship, approaching at the port side. It was an Arab dry cargo ship, on its way
to Greece. The Arabs confirmed that the object hovered over their ship. A
minute and a half later the object changed its flight's trajectory, listed to
the right, gained speed and ascended rapidly. The Soviet seamen observed that
when it rose through the clouds, appearing and disappearing again, it would
occasional shine in the sun's rays. The craft then flared up, like a spark,
and was gone instantly.

DID
NAVY "STEAL" UFO?
On December 31,1984, a civilian scuba
team searched the chilly waters off Lummi Island in Washington state for an
unidentified object that reportedly blazed out of the sky and splashed down
there last July 27th. The team's leader said seismic radar picked out an egg
shaped object on the sea floor.
DESCRIPTIONS CONFLICT
When the two divers returned from the
dark, frigid water, their differing
descriptions of the object caused some confusion. John Walker, original
organizer of the expedition, described the thing as a gold-colored,
satellite-shaped object with a clasp on one end. Richard Burke said it was
orange and looked like an upside-down teacup with a cavity in the top. He
said that he stood on the thing and felt it humming. When he surfaced,
Burke's diving boots were covered with a reddish dust, which has yet to be
analyzed.
Both divers agreed that the object
was made out of some kind of metal and said it was stuck at an angle in the
mud. They wanted to attempt to raise the object with a deck winch that day
but ran out of time.
OBJECT GONE
The mystery intensified when the team
returned after the weekend and the object had disappeared.
"They
went out to the same spot yesterday and it's gone," said Bonnie Papetti,
wife of the skipper of the recovery vessel.
Dr. Bruce Maccabee, a Defense
Department physicist, and his scientific researcher, Dale
Goudie, believe the Navy may have recovered the object and may be concealing
it from the public. Goudie said he obtained copies of reports made at the
time of the sighting, through the Freedom of Information Act, that indicate a
military vessel was sent to the scene, but found nothing.
NAVY 'PROBABLY' THERE
The
Pentagon denies all knowledge of the UFO and refuses further comment. But a
senior Navy source in "Washington D. C. said, "It is fairly safe
for you to assume that if we heard about a large metal object in the ocean
that was transmitting a humming noise, we would investigate."

FISHING USO (UNIDENTIFIED
SUBMERGED OBJECTS)
The night between 25/26 of August 1984, appeared to be
like any other night in that period of time with clear sky without clouds,
and quiet sea. In such a night, however, an unusual strange event, “dammed”
according to Fort, took place in Italy, off Apulia shore. Someone saw a
strange object, a USO, the equivalent of the UFO, emerging from the sea. This
event has recently been investigated by an officer of CISU and regarded three
friends who are amateur fisherman.
About three o’clock in the
morning of the 26th of August, the three friends were sailing in
their small motorboat, off Campo Marino, a village located at 40 km from
Taranto. They were going to put off a system of baits with many fishhooks.
While they were sailing up the coast towards Torre Ovo, about three km off
the same coast, in the sea, they noticed an indistinct, whitish light that
was moving opposite to their direction. The three friends estimated that the
light was at about 500/1000 meters distant from their boat. The apparent
dimension of the object was about the space between the nods of the second
and fourth fingers (4/5 cm) of a fist shape, placed at a distance of an arm.
At the beginning “we thought”, said the three friends, “that it was a
submarine emerging from the sea”. It appeared as if there was something
underneath, a light that was lighting the sea, however, it was completely
circumscribed as the witness reported. But suddenly, a totally unforeseen
thing happened, a round-shaped metal –grayish mass was emerging from the
water. This indistinct object, void of details as regarded its surface, was
emerging vertically from the sea, subsequently it changed direction, bending
its trajectory of about 60-70 degrees, in regard to the perpendicular axis.
Everything happened without stopping its movement: emerging from water,
departing upward from water and bending its trajectory. These were not
hovering maneuvers. The speed of diagonal movement was very fast, as the
object was disappearing from the visual field of the viewers in about 3-4
seconds, towards the Apulia shore, east or south/east direction, just
opposite the direction of the boat.
During the sighting no sound
was perceived, this fact induced the witnesses to exclude that the object was
a missile launched by a submarine. The three friends could not see any water
sprays coming from the sea nearby, or traces of light in the sky caused by
the same phenomenon. After the sighting the three friends started fishing
again and for the whole night they did not notice anything unusual. No event similar
to this one, was noticed occurring in
future times, by other witnesses going there for other fishing sessions.
It was possible to interview
only one of the three witnesses, Gaetano N. as the others, a warrant officer
and a custom officer refused to be involved in the investigation about the
event, fearing that the rumor about their names might harm their military
careers.
According to Arcangelo Cassano,
the agent of the investigation who had known the witness for a couple of
years, Gaetano N. is known as serious, reliable person, not at all inclined
to easy fancies. He is a person who can be trusted entirely. So far the
object of this event is identified to be a USO (Unidentified Submerged
Object) strictly speaking.

On October
25, 1986, at about 9:00 A.M., in clear weather, Joaquin U.A., a forty-year-old
farm manager, and Ronald-Alberto L.A., a twenty-three year-old farmer,
saw an object above the surface of the lake. Interviewed two weeks later
at the site by Ricardo and Carlos Vilchez, they drew pictures of what
they had seen and gave a detailed description of the events.
First they saw, about
1,800 feet away, a row or post-like cylinders reaching about three feet
above the surface of the lake, which was quiet and flat as a mirror.
Then they again saw a series of objects sticking out about three feet
above the water and three feet apart. By then they had driven their
tractor much closer to the lake, and they could clearly observe the
cylinders, which were of a dark hue, either gray or coffee-colored.
After five or ten minutes the objects disappeared, the emerged portions
tilting together as if they were attached to a single submerged structure,
and the whole thing disappeared with much turmoil and waves.

TREMOR
On 30 May 1987, local
residents near Laguna Cartagena saw a strange 'red ball of fire' descend
in a controlled manner into the lagoon, making a buzzing sound. At 02.00,
many witnesses sighted a huge, brilliant disc hovering over the lagoon.
The following afternoon, thousands of inhabitants of southwest Puerto
Rico were shaken by a powerful earth tremor and what sounded like an
underground explosion. Initially, the tremor's epicentre was pinpointed
at 13.5 nautical miles below the Laguna Cartagena, between the towns
of Lajas and Cabo Rojo. The next day, however, the Puerto Rico Seismologic
Service announced that the epicentre had been out to sea, to the
west of Puerto Rico, in the Mona Passage.

In a final note our Correspondent
tells me that one of his own friends in Iran, an educated Iranian businessman
who regularly has commercial dealings with Germany, recently gave him in
confidence the following information:-
(
Text extracted)
He states that he has reliable
reports that a UFO was recently seen emerging out of the waters of the
Caspian Sea, which lies to the north of Iran and south of Russia. The date
was September 3, 1989. The eyewitness (an employee of our Correspondent) was
walking with some friends on the beach of the Caspian, near Sari, at 6.30
p.m., when suddenly this brilliant orange-coloured object, abut 8-12 m. in
diameter, rose up out of the Caspian Sea at a distance of some 250 m. from
them. There were of course also other people on the shore at the time and the
eyewitness says the UFO generated such a general panic that in a matter of
just a few seconds the entire beach was empty!
The witness hid under
some nearby trees and watched the UFO for about 2 minutes, Then suddenly, at
an incredible speed, it vanished towards the Northwest. The witness estimates
that at least fifty other people saw it, and he talked with several of them
about it afterwards.

On the 14th of March
1990, Mr. Gates, a fisherman from Liverpool was stood by the river Mersey
with his two sons, Alex and Peter. All claimed to have witnessed a brightly
lit object under the water, about 800 metres away. The object moved
slowly to the left and then stopped. A few seconds later the object
shot away from them at high speed. They then claimed that the object
was seen in the distance lifting from the water and flying up into the
low cloud cover. The incident took place at 8.45 pm. The local airport
at Speak claimed to have received many UFO reports that evening, yet
no strange radar detection’s occurred.
To date there has been
no satisfactory explanation from any military officialdoms and the Ministry
of Defence stated this report and others in the area have been logged,
however, we do not believe nor disbelieve in the UFO phenomena. We here
at the MOD are only interested in National Security, and there was like
all other reports of UFOs, no National Security risk. The case was closed
with the conclusion of USO, (Unidentified Submersible Object). USO cases
are very rare, so therefore it is not a necessity to have a USO encounter
range. Most experiences are categorised under the UFO encounter range,
be them in close proximity or distant.

AMAZING USO ENCOUNTER IN TURKEY:
THE ALLEGED UNDERWATER UFO PHOTOGRAPH
Written
by Sefer Murat Aksoy, B.A. & M.S.
Independent UFO Researcher of Turkey
AMAZING
USO ENCOUNTER IN TURKEY: THE ALLEGED UNDERWATER UFO PHOTOGRAPH
USOs or Unidentified Submarine Objects have long been observed
in Turkish waters. That is, such crafts are often reported to enter,
leave, float or travel under the water of seas, lakes and rivers of
Turkey. In this respect, the Aegean Sea, the Marmara Sea and the Mediterranean
Sea are very active water regions. Below we would get into some further
details of the most interesting USO case of all Turkish UFO literature.
Here it is.
In August of 1990, a strange
underwater UFO was seen beneath the waters of the Aegean Sea which lies between Turkey and Greece. What makes
this USO encounter so special is that it includes a colored picture
of an alleged Unidentified Submersible Object as a physical evidence.
Furthermore, we should add that the eye-witness and the USO are both
under the water. Naturally, there are some amazing photographs, motion
pictures and video-clips of USOs showing that these mysterious objects
are diving into, emerging from, sailing or cruising under the water.
However, there was no single evidential picture indicating that the
alleged submarine UFO and the photographer were both beneath the sea
at some fathoms. As far as we know, this alleged USO photo is therefore
the first example of its kind.
This spectacular USO case
occurred at 14:00 (2 pm.), on 15th of August, 1990. Its exact place
was at 57 meters deep of Saros Bay or just around Turkish inland waters
of the Aegean Sea. One can easily state that Mr. Erol Erkmen is a very
reliable and sincere person who has reported this mysterious underwater
object. Mr. Erkmen was engaging in a discovery-dive for an old sunken
ship together with his friend, named as Mr. Kemal whose surname has
been kept as secret, when he suddenly located the alleged USO there.
Mr. Erol Erkmen said that he began to feel very strangely as if they
were observed by something. Then he looked ahead and saw a greenish
light inside the water. However, this mysterious object disappeared
so soon. After a while, Mr. Erkmen again located the green object at
his left-hand side. Consequently, he thought that the USO might have
been maneuvering around them. He observed it for nearly 3 minutes. Then
he decided to take a picture of this strange light using an older underwater
Kodak camera. Immediately he did what he had thought. As soon as Mr.
Erkmen took a snap-shot of that USO, its light went out. However, they
had to come out of the water, since their oxygen was just about to die
out. Mr. Erol Erkmen said that when he studied the negative very carefully,
he saw nothing. On the other hand, when he looked up the printed photochrome,
he located a mysterious greenish light in the picture. For his curiosity,
he made this photograph enlarged for 300 times. He then became too embarrassed
by seeing that there was a disc-shaped object with some greenish light
in the alleged photo.
If so, what was that?
Was it a conventional submarine or a secret man-made vehicle? Was it
a kind of phosphorescent underwater organism? Or was it an advanced
submersible craft of alien beings? Who knows? Every alternative view
has its own pros and cons.

NEW YORK UFO CRASH NEAR NIAGARA FALLS?
BUFFALO-- A former professor at Temple University revealed the following
story regarding UFOs that are frequently sighted above Lake Ontario.
On or about April 15, 1992, a large disc shaped craft was observed coming
out of the lake around 7:00 AM and flying erratically south towards
Lockport, NY.
The object appeared to
wobble and moved lower appearing to be in trouble. Observers claim it
appeared to search for a landing spot, continued to lose altitude and
crashed on Campbell Boulevard (Route 270) four miles west of Lockport
and ten miles north of Buffalo. The crash was similar to that seen in
the movie "MIB". When the UFO crashed it managed to avoid
hitting the cars traveling the road. However, the drivers of the cars
stopped to examine the UFO and most waited until the police arrived.
The UFO was 100 feet in diameter and 25 feet high. Military, fire and
police quickly arrived and cleaned up the crash site and cautioned those
there not to talk about the incident. Some how the authorities were
able to keep the crash quiet and only family members of those who observed
the crash site have been told. We are looking for further information
on this alleged crash. We would like to hear from anyone having additional
information at Majorstar@aol.com.

B:
Other sightings?
Jr.: I've seen them go
faster than my eyes could see. I also saw a couple down in a river.
At the time when we first started seeing them, I was playing high school
basketball. I get a ride up to the Garland Bridge and then I walk down
the tracks that go past the house. Well, it'd take me about 10 minutes
to walk down the tracks and then back to the house.
About halfway in the trip,
you go around a curve and then down a big long, straight stretch. Right
in that curve-- there's a big place where everybody swims-- there was
something. I could see it very well. It spooked me and then I ran.
But at the time I was
watching it, it was almost identical to this, a little bit smaller,
but almost identical. It had one little detail, I never could understand
what it was doing. It had a red, the reddest beam, shooting into the
water.
Danny Church drew this sketch based on his cousin, Bruce David
Church, Jr.'s sighting of
December 21, 1992
I couldn't see the front of it,
because there was so much light. I could tell it had hieroglyphics, though.
B: Can you draw those?
Jr.: Well, I can't really draw
them. I know what they look like but they were in a complex sequence. They're
hard to really describe. It's mainly blocks and lines. It wasn't writing like
we...like the Indian hieroglyphics.
B: On the outside of this
thing?
Jr.: Yeah, right on the edges,
there wasn't too much light coming from them and I could focus on them before
I took off running. I was interested but, it had a beam. Little thing coming
down through the water· It was coming off the top, hitting the water.
B: Could you see it go under
the water?
Jr.: All I could see was it
hitting the water. That's all. I started running because it started moving.
It scared me to death when it started moving.
B: Did the beam go off when it
started moving?
Jr.: No, it stayed on when it
started, but then it quit. It came down the river towards Iaeger, then it
went straight up. It was hard to see, but it went straight up.
Every two to four nights when I
would come through, there would be
one down there. I don't know what in the world they'd be doing.
B: Did you see other kinds of
crafts?
Jr.: It was shaped something
like an N without the middle bar. Like a half moon. It was thick. It was
doing pretty much the same thing only it was, it looked like it was twice the
weight. I was right across from it. It had the same beam except it was coming
from underneath. It was hitting the water, but this time it was a small,
thin, high intensity beam. It looked like it was thinner than paper, very
fine. The beam was making a high pitched noise. Like the lasers on Star Trek,
something like that, only it was high pitched.
When I first heard it, that's
what got my attention. And when I was standing there, you know the first time
it scared me, but this time I was more interested in it. I watched it shoot
straight up, and once it disconnected that beam, the noise quit. So I do know
it was the beam that made the noise.
When it was hitting the water,
it was like...glowing, a reddish looking color, shooting out of the water and
it was--you know how a nuclear bomb explodes? A big mushroom cloud, it was
like a real mushroom stuff coming out of it. Like it was drilling or
something like that. It was bubbling up like a mushroom coming out. I sat
there maybe 10 minutes, I didn't want to make a move. I didn't know if they
knew I was there or not. They had the same hieroglyphics as the other one. The
first one I saw was about 40' away. This one I stood right here at the
tracks, and right over there is the creek at the river. I was about that far
away from this one. About maybe 20 or 30 feet away.

An orange globe passed our ship from astern with no
sound only light on the water and the ship.
At sea, USS Eisenhower, late at night, on watch on the
flight deck. North of Puerto Rico. A bright steady orange ball big as the
moon came up from astern. Lighting the water then the flight deck and
aircraft with orange light. Silent, to the starboard side, just above the
height of the deck which is 75 feet above the water, it just flew by. Quietly
it passed the bow and accelerated upwards till it was gone. The other watch
stander with me saw it too. I looked up at the bridge but they were not
reacting to it. I have seen missiles, flares, bombs and all sorts of aircraft
under all sorts of conditions. I have not seen anything similar to that other
than a hunter's moon but that, of course, doesn’t move.

of light emerging from ocean and looping back into the water. Object must
have been very large, since sighting was from about a mile away.
On this night there was a full moon
out. I had been fishing on the south shore of O'ahu, at a place called
"Black Point"-a luxurious residential area. It's only a mile to the
east of Diamond Head crater. The sighting was very brief, and I doubted
myself for a while, until two black helicopters showed up a few minutes
later. Then I figured that I must have seen something real. Initially, I was
startled by the helicopters because I did not hear or see them until they
were directly in front of me at a distance of about two to three hundred
yards. They continued to scan the areas just beyond the fringing reef from
Diamond Head to Hanauma bay (a distance of about 10 miles) with strobe type
lights pointed at the water. This went on for about 30 minutes. Then they
left and so did I.

UFOS REPORTED BY SHEPHERDS
IN PERU
[CNI News thanks Scott Corrales for
forwarding this report from the EFE (Peruvian) News Agency, dated Feb 5,
1996. A second version of the same story follows the first.]
LIMA - A group of shepherds sighted six unidentified
flying objects over the Pampas Lampa sector of Recuay province, some 79
kilometers south of Huaraz, according to a news item featured in the Feb 3
edition of Lima's "El Express."
According to one of the witnesses, Silverio Cancio Bedoya,
40, the strange objects appeared in the early morning hours of Wednesday,
January 31, allegedly emerging from the Cococha Lagoon, a body of water
located some 4,200 meters (over 13,000 feet) above sea level.
Silverio explained that the vehicles formed an enormous
circle around a "mothership" heading north toward the Santa River,
illuminating the entire valley with a sequence of lights ranging from deep
purple to light violet.
Frightened by their experience, the shepherds told
"El Expreso" that the largest vehicle landed in the Romatambo
sector, and that two little figures emerged from within to gather algae from
the banks of the Santa, while the other objects remained suspended in
mid-air.
UFO
LANDS IN PERU
The newspaper El Expreso of Lima, Peru ran a story about a
UFO landing high in the ,Andes in its February 3, 1996 edition.
According to El Expreso, six UFOs appeared over a remote
mountain meadow, Pampas Lampa, near the town of Recuay, which is 79
kilometers (47 miles) south of Huaraz. The UFOs badly frightened a group of
Quechua Indian shepherds tending their flocks. Pampas Lampa is at a very high
altitude, 4,200 meters (13,650 feet) above sea level.
Eyewitness Silvio Cancio Bedoya, 40, said the UFOs
appeared before 8 a.m. local time on Wednesday, January 31, emerging from the
Lago (Lake) de Cococha. Cancio said the UFOs formed a protective circle about
a larger "mothership." Then the flight proceeded north to the Rio
Santo. The UFOs "illuminated the whole valley with a sequence of lights
ranging from deep purple to light violet."
The "mothership" landed
upriver from the village of Romatambo. Two occupants emerged from the UFO.
The Quechua Indians described them as, one meter tall" (3 feet, 3
inches) with large, oversized heads, long, spindly arms and. short bandy
legs. The occupants were wearing gunmetal gray helmets and matching one-piece
coveralls.
Cancio said the UFO occupants took
out transparent containers and, ignoring the shepherds, collected many
samples, including soil, grass,
mountain flowers, plus water and algae from the Rio Santo. At about 8:40
a.m., the occupants reentered the "mothership," and then all of the
UFOs "zoomed straight up into space."

At 7.30pm on Monday, 12 February 1996, I received a
ship-to-shore telephone call from a fishing vessel in the Denmark Straight,
off the West Coast of Iceland, The caller told me that a huge triangular
craft had appeared and was hovering low in the sky close to his boat. At that
precise moment the transmission was cut off.
Approximately fifteen minutes later the caller rang again to say that
all electronics on the ship had suddenly failed. He told me that he and the
rest of the crew had seen the triangular object move away from the boat then
suddenly descend into the sea. The moment it had disappeared all
electronic power was restored.

At
9.00pm on Sunday, 18 February 1996, a further call was received from the
boats at sea. On this occasion the caller told me that the whole crew were
terrified because three huge black triangular objects, accompanied by three
independent red balls of light, had come out of the sea and were hovering
silently in the air close to their boats.
I asked if the balls of light were
connected to the triangles and he said, "No they are totally separate
and independent". The caller was asked if the triangles were showing on
the ships Radar. He replied, "No the Radar is not picking them up, the
whole crew are standing on the deck watching them."
Were the objects close
to the boat? '"Yes, they are hovering near the port bow, we're all
scared". Asked if he could hear any sound coming from the objects, he
replied, "No there's no sound coming from them". Were there any
lights on the triangles? "Yes there are small lights on different parts
of them."
He then
said, "The whole crew are out on deck watching them". Suddenly the
transmission was lost and the phone went dead. A short time later the
connection was restored and the voice at the other end said, "The
objects have now gone, they all descended and went down into the sea".

it was."
An hour later the telephone

ABDUCTION EXPERT IS "WOWED" BY UFO SIGHTING
IN AUSTRALIA
[Respected American abduction researcher John Carpenter, a frequent
contributor to CNI News, recently returned from a conference in Brisbane,
Australia, an area that has seen major UFO activity in recent months. While
there, Carpenter says, he had his own remarkable UFO sighting. Here's how he
tells it.]
By
John Carpenter
I was
watching on the night of October 17, 1996 to observe the unique stars of the
Southern Hemisphere sky over the ocean. With me were [conference speaker] Dr.
Joe Lewels and [conference coordinators] Glennys Mackay and husband George
Mackay.
We saw
one bright object which we first assumed was another airplane coming in for a
landing. However, this object was slightly brighter and appeared to have
extra lights - and no blinking ones. After several other planes went by and
this one had not yet moved, Joe and I commented that this was unusual. Dr.
Lewels is an ex-Viet Nam military pilot and knows planes well. At this point
he claimed, "That is NOT an airplane."
We both
glanced at each other for a moment while George Mackay was still staring at
it, approximately 15 degrees above the horizon at a distance of at least 5
miles or more. George saw it drop to the water within a split second -- which
is quite a speed at that distance! He shouted. Joe and I both looked and were
shocked to see the object gone from its position in the sky without any time
to have moved out of it... Then we all watched as it hovered just above the
water, then lowered slowly into the water and out of sight.
Wow. The
speed and drop from its position at that distance elevated that sighting from
all known categories of known aircraft behavior! Another unknown over
Brisbane ....
ALSO
UFO SEEN OFF AUSTRALIA'S "SUNSHINE
COAST"
On
Thursday, October 17, at 6:50 p.m., Glennys Mackay, director of Queensland
MUFON, her husband, and two American ufologists, John Carpenter and Joseph
Lewis, were driving on the Bruce Highway in Queensland, near Caloundra and
Noosa, 55 kilometers (33 miles) north of Brisbane. Suddenly, according to Ms.
Mackay, the quartet "noticed a huge light rising up out of the sea,
which was stationary for some time before dropping rapidly into the ocean
once again. After several minutes, it surfaced and was once again in the
southeast sky." The four studied the UFO "through telescopic lenses
and found it to have four white lights. The very interesting thing about this
was that it showed itself (to be) a round silver ball surrounded by a light
which appeared to be a silver mesh in appearance. After several minutes, it
took off in a northerly direction." As it flew away, the UFO appeared to
be "large and long with a huge bright light in front and several
white lights behind."

WAVE OF
UFOs REPORTED OVER SOLOMON ISLANDS
Ross
Dowe, director of Australia's National UFO Hotline, forwarded to CNI News a
recent report from two businessmen in the Solomon Islands who claim that UFOs
are being sighted in that region on a regular basis.
The
Solomon Island chain is located approximately 1,000 miles northeast of the
coast of Queensland, Australia, and some 500 miles due east of Papua New
Guinea.
According to Dowe, the two men -- one of whom claims to be a doctor --
wrote "that they had been watching a classic UFO over Iron Bottom Sound
and in Visale area" of the islands. The UFO had appeared "every 2-3
nights, over the past two weeks.
"Local islanders have gone missing and a number of them have
received 3rd degree burns after shining a light at an object passing
overhead," the men told Dowe.
They
described the object as about 4 meters across. Sometimes it moves very fast.
It has also been seen to enter a waterfall and disappear, and to travel under
water.

GIANT ET Craft Emerges From Sea Next To Oil Rig!

Permission to publish report: Yes
First name: Jeremy Clark
Surname: Packer Age: 32 Occupation' Engineer Year sighting took place:
1997 Month sighting took place: December Day sighting took place: Monday
Time sighting took place: 8:00 am Country: USA Nearest town: Corpus
Christi
Description of area where
sighting took place: Oil Platform- 30 miles from Shore of Gulf of Mexico.
No land masses...no clouds...heavy wind...several liners. 500 manned
oil rig.
The UFO was sighted in
or near a Reservoir/River/Canal/Water The UFO was sighted in or near
an air route
Did anyone else witness
the sighting?: Yes Relationship of witnesses: Co-Workers
Circumstances of the sighting/experience: I had just woke up for our
daily routine on the rig. Our sleeping quarters were below sea level,
so we all had to trudge up to the main core housing to start work. it
was about 7:58 to 9119199 8:00.
My watch stopped ticking at 7:58 but I don't know if my time
was right. Everyone else's watch stopped ticking as well with various
times.
As ! and about 20 other
men neared our stations to perform the daily greasing and releasing
routine, we stopped cold in our tracks. The Bore that drills the hole
into the ocean floor was bent like a toothpick into a V-Shape.
We looked at the underwater cameras to recheck what our eyes saw and
we couldn’t believe it.
First off... this bore is 140.65 Feet thick made of solid steel. Nothing
can bend it...let alone something on the ocean floor...and it wasn't
even on the ocean floor It was just right below the surface of the water
about 200 feet...the amount of pressure it would take would be equal
to the sun's force,
We were dumbfounded..,
then we got scared[ Everyone started hearing a rumbling noise and we
knew it wasn't the Engines running the platform bore...everything shuts
off when something goes wrong. Out of the West we saw what looked to
be about 25-30 Helicopters on maneuvers...not an uncommon a sight. What
was uncommon was that the rig commander came up and told us he had no
alerts to any military maneuvers from the Coast Guard that day. They
usually alert us whenever they do these things in our vicinity. Another
peculiar thing was that the helicopters made no sounds., none. ZIPP!
Then we all ran to the west side of the platform...about 250 of us in
all...the others were below sleeping...they have the night shift. Then
we saw something that totally changed us! All of the helicopters stopped
in midair and something LARGE...very LARGE surfaced beneath them.
It was a HUGE Metal object
about the size of our platform! !t just came straight out of the water
and straight into the air! It hovered over the Helicopters for about
2 minutes. Enough for us to use the telescopes to check it out!
It was as large as about
two football fields, concave underneath with 4 large bulbous domes in
the concave part of the bottom of it. It turned on it's side and we
saw that it looked like a huge flying CIGAR which was tapered at both
ends. On the top of the thing was another concave indent that had lights
circling within it.
Every color you could
possibly imagine! It was BEAUTIFUL! We heard the soft rumbling all throughout
the sighting.
Then something amazing
happened as we stood there in disbelief. Like someone turning off a
light switch...it was gone. One second we were all looking through binoculars,
telescopes and through just our eyes...hell it was close enough you
didn't need the devices! Then it was gone. I would say as fast as you
could blink or a light switch would turn on and off a light...it was
gone.
The helicopters headed
our way and passed us overhead, again never making a sound. We could
see that they had absolutely no markings. Familiar with the stuff the
military does around here, we knew they weren't military craft. Some
looked like they were stainless steel, almost invisible, some were jet
black. I counted 22...my best friend counted 28.
Everyone had a different
amount. We all also noticed that our watches were about 30 minutes later
than what the time actually was when we got back to the mainland.
We were sent on temporary
leave by our bosses for what we reported so that 9/19/99 they could
fix/repair/replace the bore on the rig.
I'm back at work now but
I still look out at the ocean every chance I get!
The height the UFO was from the ground was about: 280 - 300 feet above
sea.
Noise information heard during the sighting: Rumbling sound for most
of the sighting. Our watches stopped working!
The UFO was sighted for [ ]
Minutes: 30
The UFO Manoeuvred The
UFO Changed Colour. The UFO Hovered. The UFO Rotated. Was any photographic
record made at the time?: Yes, Camera
Did you experience any
effects, i.e., loss of time: Yes...Ail our watches showed
30 minutes late/about the time the sighting took place.

UFOs
SIGHTED IN ROCKLAND, MASSACHUSETTS
On Wednesday, December 3 I, 1997, at 8:52 a.m., Lynn
S. was driving in rush-hour traffic in Rockland, Massachusetts (population
15,695), a suburb on Route 139 approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers)
southeast of Boston.
As she
neared Reed's Pond, on Market Street in Rockland, she spotted "a
cigar-shaped craft that hovered for a minute and 45 seconds above the waters
of Reed's Pond before it plunged in and exploded. I saw the object come
across the sky, pulsating a blue light from the top with two strong flashing
lights on each side."
"Traffic slowed, but no one seemed to care enough to get out and
see what the object was," she reported. "As I approached the
traffic lights, people were pointing back at the pond. But without the
(traffic) light working, drivers were beginning to swear, cut people off and
no one was paying any attention to the object."
"Upon driving home and finding I had no electricity, I called the
electric company but only got a recording. I began calling other residents of
the town. They all said they had no electricity after they 'heard the planes
go over.'"
At 9:15
a.m., Lynn drove back to Reed's Pond. "To my amazement, a black ball
hovered in the sky above it, as big as a silver dollar, but nothing was astir
in the pond. I noticed dead ducks and seagulls floating on the surface."
The UFO zipped away seconds later.
"For the record, I never heard any planes." (Email Interview)

A red, glowing object
hovering above the East River. It then dropped into the river, and its glow
could still be seen after the object was under the water.
The
object was approximately 4 miles distant horizontally. Vertical distance
unknown, but below cloud level. From vantage point, about the size of a
marble. Its speed while dropping was quite fast, but once under the water it
seemed to move quite slowly, moving down toward NY Harbor before fading
away.

UFOs VIDEOTAPED IN THE SKIES OF PERU
On
Tuesday night, February 9, 1999, just before midnight, pescadores from the
port of Pisco, 300 kilometers (180 miles) south of Lima, the capital of Peru,
watched a large anomalous light emerge from the Pacific Ocean. The UFO,
described by witnesses as a nave nodriza (Spanish for "supply ship"
or mothership--J.T.) rose into the air, banked sharply to the right and
flew away in an easterly direction, heading for
the shore.
***Non water related UFO text deleted***
On Thursday, February 11, people in the
cafes around Pisco's central plaza were talking nonstop about the second UFO
display the previous night. Rumors spread about the presence of an undersea
base a dozen kilometers offshore. Some said it was an alien base; others
claimed that it was "an OTAN (Spanish acronym for NATO) secret
base"
According to UFO Roundup
correspondent Pilar Valencia, Lima's "tabloid press went wild on Days 1
and 2 of the flap," printing the Pisco undersea base story and
speculating that the UFOs were in Peru to observe "the end of the
world"

UWO - Unidentified Water Object?
Time: approximately 4:00 pm- 5:00 pm
Date: April 17th, 1999
Location: Akiskanook condominiums, Invermere, BC - Windermere
Lake Lookout
Weather: Sunny and clear, little to no wind, water
calm - you could see the reflections of the mountains in the water
"Three of us were looking out into the water, it was a quiet
peaceful afternoon, when we all noticed a bright white light emerging from
the water. The object was breaking the water surface from the lake, yet
wasn't leaving any ripples in the water! - like a piece of wood would or a
log could."
"It
showed itself as a sequence of digitized light. -[The kind that looks like
the Knight Rider "kit" car has on the from (sic-front) of the car.]
Instead this computerized light was a bright white colouring. It appeared and
disappeared, breaking the water surface, three times after finally
disappearing into the lake. This lasted for approximately 5 minutes. We had
binoculars so we were able to see the light up close and to our amazement
it confirmed what we saw."

We were fishing off the pier
at Montauk Point, and I see a blazing light flash in the sky. Then I see 3
disk shape objects hovering about 20 feet above the ocean. And about 5
minutes later, they plunged into the water.
They were spinning in circles,
but tight circles. It seemed there were windows in the craft but I am not
positive. When they plunged into the water, there was really no splash, it
was like there was an opening, and it just swallowed them up.

CALIFORNIA WATER LIGHTS FLY
POINT MUAGU -- The witness was by a
campsite at 4:30 AM near the naval base on January 11, 2002, when he saw two
lights moving in the water with a light about 100 feet above. The one in the
air started to move side to side in a strange way. The two in the water began
to move with it. The way they moved was like no plane. The one in the air
started south towards Malibu, that's when others that looked like stars began
to follow, and scan the waters as if it was a group project. The objects were
airborne for thirty minutes and were gone. The lights in the water never
took off they seem to dive.
